A Dollar Tree customer was left without words after seeing just how they were expected to signal staff members to check out.

Jaime Lisk (@jaimelisk) shared the uncommon set-up to TikTok. The brief clip went viral and got 5 3 million sights.
In the video, Lisk comes close to the check-out counter, which is unmanned. Rather than a person manning the counter, there is a sign.
It reads, “Please touch the pan for cashier.”
Lisk after that proceeds to rap a steel frying pan with a plastic spoon, both of which are laid on the check-out conveyor belt.

“Mine has a lil bell to ring and I always apologize as I do it lmao it really feels so rude somehow,” a 3rd shared.
A single person wanted to know whether Dollar Tree’s check out system could be exported to other stores. They were referring to the too much delay times consumers need to deal with at stores like Walmart and Target, since a lot product is locked behind anti-theft glass.
